In theory, farming is simple. Dig a hole, place the seed, cover with dirt and tend to the plant with water, nutrients and sunlight. In addition to these basic principles, one must also add the virtues of patience, faith, knowledge and effort.
At Sellard Farms, we incorporate modern day and traditional farming practices to reach our maximum potential for ourselves and our landlords. Using predominately John Deere equipment we perform all our own applications throughout the production cycle; groundwork, planting, fertilizing/spraying, and harvest. Our main commodities include corn, soybeans, milo and of course being in Kansas - wheat! We also produce our own high nutritional feed for our cow/calf herd and private feed yards.
